rite, p*ssed off now, cant get my turbo brakes to bleed up, i have got the late style servo and master cylinder on the car, no matter what i do i cannot get a good pedal on the brakes, i am using a pressure bleeder kit, and bleeding all the air etc out of the system, push the pedal down, i will have a decent pedal, but then you can feel the pedal go to the floor but if ya pump the pedal again ya can get a decent pedal, if ya leave it for a few seconds it goes again.
really annoyin, changed the master cylinder 3 times now, same all the time, anyone got any ideas as what to do???
cheers

i have now had 3 masters, 1 with new seals and this one with the servo that was off a car with decent brakes that had been stood for a month. i am going to try replacing the rear wheel cylinders and the brake lines this week.
if that doesn't cure it i am going to have to buy a new master cylinder, after that it can only be the front calipers, and they were brand new!

Have you got the calipers on the right side?

i think the callipers are on the right sides, what difference would it make if they were not???
the fluid level stays the same, telling me there is air in the system, but when i bleed it i cannot get any more out of the rears and the fronts seem to bleed up everytime (bleed till no more air comes out and fresh fluid does), lock up all the bleed nipples, then once they gone spongey agen, try em again, rears are the same, fronts got air in them, cannot figure it out at all, must be a hole somewhere i reckon, but i am interested in what difference getting the callipers on the wrong sides would do.
cheers

when you use eezi-bleeds or other pressure bleeders you can be left with an air lock in the master cylinder if you are fitting it with it totally empty.
grab a friend, and try bleeding it the old fashioned way by pushing on the pedal etc., this will get rid of the airlock, once the airlock is gone, you can bleed with the pressure bleeder again.

oh, and if your calipers are on the wrong side, you'll never get rid of the air out of them, as the bleed points are designed to be at the highest point.

ah, that could explain a lot.
on the drivers side of the car, i have 2 bleed nipples in the middle of it and one closest to the engine at the bottom.
if you are looking at the calliper the bleed nipples are positionned as below, the passenger side is opposite.

sorry bout the cack diagram, but it should suffice(looking at callipers from front of car.

Get them on the right side and start again. The bleed nipple MUST be at the top
