Hi all, ive got a 998 engine with...
LCB manifold
12g295 head
SW5 cam
I have got a set of twin 1 1/4 SU's and also the origional 1 1/2 SU (on a gas flowed manifold) Does anybody else have the same set up and if so what needles are you using in it as I would like to see for myself the torque differences between the 2 carb set ups.
Ive been led to believe that the GY's that came in the twins will work but thought I would see what other people recommend
Cheers :)

on the single HS4 use an AAA needle, on the twin HS2's use the GY needles.
you will see a definate increase in torque with the twin carbs, i have a set of twin HS2's on our 1100 special and i wouldent go back to a single carb now.
both of these recommendations must be temporary until you get your car on the rollers to be set up properly but will work fine until then.

The torque is what I'm after really so that sounds good. And I'm just seeing what others are using as a starting point for my set up, cheers bud :)on the single HS4 use an AAA needle, on the twin HS2's use the GY needles.
