Hi all, I've just won a fleabay auction for a top and bottom dash rail as my existing ones are in a right state. How easy is it to replace them and how do I go about it?

not easy lol (well for me anyway) it may be easier for you! top one i had at the problem with the middle screw kept getting stuck on the rail
and when i was putting it back on the vents wouldn't line up right but i get it in the end. the bottom one is a breeze unless u lose one of the switch panel bolts (like i did spend an hour looking for it)

because my wife just bought me a carbon fibre dash and I think I'd be sleeping in the garage if I didn't use it :)

Doesn't even have power never mind heating, that's why I've been wearing 4 layers when I've been working on Boris recently.

Managed to get the old top rail off but now it doesn't look like the new one's going to fit. The one I took off had 3 bolts on it, either end and one in the middle. The new one has 4 bolts and seems just a fraction too long to fit. A bolt sheared off when I was taking the old one off and the padding was so old and brittle it's all cracked and falling off in lumps. Guess I ain't got a top rail now!
