Hi all,
so this is whatr's happening:
get up in the morning - flat battery.
Either charge it for an hour or so or get a jump start.
Drive to work (about 5 miles away), the car sits still all day and starts first time at the end of the day.
Drive around a bit (collect kids from school, go to shops) and then home.
The car starts fine every time.
Get up the next day - flat battery.
There's nothing on overnight (interior light, stereo etc) and apart from the cold I can't see any reson
for the battery to discharge overnight - any ideas ?
Best wishes

Leave the battery on charge for 16 hours at least. If the battery has been completely drained, the 1 hour charge and whatever little chage it gets with you driving round barely brings it up to full charge, likely just enough for you to do what you have been doing. If yourcar has an alarm or a clock, that will drain what ever charge you managed to get into the battery. any modern sterio has a parasitic drain on the battery to maintain its memory.
Charge it overnight and then see how you get on, if it still does it, the battery could be faulty, or there is a grounding and or main battery cable issue.

The cold nights won't help with the battery keeping its charge if it is in a poor condition.
