I know mini's aren't the quietest of cars but was thinking of the best steps to start quieting it down a bit?

My mini has no sound insulation anywhere, apart from some thin carpet on the floor (doesn't do much if anything)

turn the key to the off position
If you do that, the power steering will stop working

i have that stuff you stick on the floor like dynomat (double layerd)
and half inch felt sound proofing, double layerd on the passenger side
cant double layer drivers side comes up a bit high for pedal working size 10 feet
also got some boom mat on section behind exhaust on bulkhead 22" x about 6" (double layerd)
bit fiddly to put on but my bulkhead behind exhaust was nice and clean to stick on ( sticky backed)
also got some black felt stuff along top of bulkhead behind carby
