Door or door skin? Its not where near as bad on the other side, that just needs a skin.

When the skin is off you will see if the flange is rusty and 9 times out of ten it will be. If its a small area then you can do a local repair but if the inside of the door frame is rusty don't mess about replace it.

The rust on the window frame is a pain to sort out. The first thing you need to do is to remove the glass (do this before you take the skin off and then the rubber seal that runs inside the frame. Remove the rust using a twisted wire cup in a grinder then see just how bad the rust is. If its really bad then you may have to add new sections of frame. Not easy but doable. If you have a look at the Project Erm link you will see on there what i did to both of Erms doors and they were in a very very bad state.
