i know the title soudsn dappy (ie: you you have to use a key to open the door......)

what i mean is that when the door is shut the you have to put the key back in the key hole and turn it all the way then use the button to open the door whilst holding the key.......

pain in the ass.

is this just because i have no back on the door ( the skirt , the fabrick/ thingy..... the thing you can pull off. you know what i mean.) because i took them off because they were all ripped, but i cant remember if the keys worked before then ?

Hi because,

That dosn't sound right, you should be able to unlock the door take the key out and open it when ever you want. (If thats what you mean).

Someone might be able to explain why thats happening though.

Check that the arm that goes from the handle down to the actual door latch has ot become disconected. If thats OK sounds like its probably the handle is faulty.
