Thinking of http://www.theminifo...ornet-interior/.

Any mods needed apart from the back cards?

What about steering wheel? can I lose the airbag or is that stupid and/or illegal?

your mini needs head rests on it's seats for the MOT and with the new MOT rules about air bags you might also need to keep that

Yes what Bungle said. But also, I think that would look awful in an MPi anyway.

I'm going to try and get an early look going on.

10inch steels, centre binnacle, early interior.... sleeper!

So, aside from the aesthetics, would these seats just go straight in?

Not to mention the seatbelts and pretensioner systems.

How far would you go with it anyway? Dash and headlining as well?

I wasn't aware that headrests were in any way a legal requirement??

For the MOT, the checks specific to the seats themselves appear to be:

1. Check the drivers and all passengers seats for security.

2. Check the backrests of all seats (front & rear) can be secured in their normal upright position.

3. Check that the drivers seat position can be adjusted forward and backwards and secured in the selected positions.

Section 6.2 (Seats & Doors) of the MOT testing Manual: http://www.transport...lsandguides.htm

Fitting seats without headrests would however significantly increase the potential risk of injury to occupants. Therefore you would need to advise your insurance company of the modification, if you were to fit them in a car that had seats with headrests fitted as standard.
