Hi. I'm no stranger to Mini's , having owned and rebuilt many in the past 25 years. Currently own a 1978 1275GT (with usual minor oil burning issues!) in Green.

Welcome. My home town, Cheltm. I bought my first two minis when I lived there in the 60s. I had a daily commuter drive on the A46 through Cranham & Painswick to Stroud before the 50 speed limit. Fun!

There is a metallic Blue 1275GT I see in Cheltenham from time to time, and a Black one in Tewkesbury.

This is my second GT, the first being a white one LMC 327W.... wonder where that is now?

I think I see you on the M5 roundabout every now and again... the daily drive is a black Citroen C1

I see LMC327W hasn't been taxed in ages, however GAE782D is :)
There was also another white Mini 1000, COE376V, that little car had starship mileage, but appeared to have an a-series forged from purest kryptonite, as it wouldn't give up, I sold it to a friend who crashed it

I've just come across an old posting of yours listing a couple of 1275GT's. I use to own LMC 327W between 1983 to 1985. Loved that car and was sorry to part with it due to the arrival of my first son, traded it for a hatchback (MG Metro) what a terrible car. When I took ownership it was fitted with a naff small steering wheel and I swapped it out for a fun Mountney wheel and fitted a 1966 mini horn button. Even though I had all sorts of small problems, it was by far the best fun car I've ever owned. Silly things like spot welding on the bonnet coming loose, the odometer breaking (may have covered around 1000 miles more than recorded) new exhaust, terrible judder from the clutch at (20k miles) and a rattle from the idler gear on tick over. Have you got any details of who you passed it onto, I quite often look on eBay and other sites to see if it pops up even though it hasn't been taxed since 1992.
