My cousin mentioned this offer the other day as I was thinking of investing in a compressor.

Would it be upto spraying a mini, say to just do the primer work or a full job?

Dont you need a 14+cfm compressor to be able to spray succesfully? And I thought 24L is on the small side, unless you paint it panel by panel.

If im wrong, I am getting myself one of those! Looks a great price

You'd have to check what the spray guns requirements are . They do vary from gun to gun.

Also a 24 litre tank will be empty in no time so you'll find the motor will be running pretty much constant, Probably have to plan out how much you spray at a time

Also for spraying you will need to consider buying a moisture trap for the airline.

Wasn't thinking doing the hole thing at once, but as you say just a panel or side at a time, also just to put the couple of coats of high build primer on im after.

They also sell a dual filter moisture trap for £20

I've got one just like that from when they sold them previously. Sprayed a mk1 escort with it with no problems, had it for 2 years now and can't complain

Just had a look and they seem to have lots of tool attachments on offer too. I don't even know what some them do but I'm now trying to convince myself I DONT need an air powered nail gun O_O

We've got one here, used it many times for spraying and using air tools. I personally would not use it for a full respray, but it's good for touching bits up and spraying small bits. I've even done my steel wheels with it, they came out nice. Just don't expect a professional-standard job from it and it won't disappoint you. You might want to get a better gun though, we found our spraying improved massively when we got a better one.

I have just picked up an Air Shear from Aldi this afternoon and they still had some of the compressors in at my local store the tools are of a decent quality and have 3 year warranty you can't go wrong. They have a fair selection of air tools on sale at the mo, I think they had a filter and oiler and a decent air line, but I was in a rush to get somewhere so just grabbed what I needed ;D
On the compressor front I bought the small one years ago and it still going strong, but I have a much bigger belt driven job now and even that has to work hard with air tools.
Cant beat Aldi for cheap tools though, I always get tempted ;D

I think the tank is too small, i've gone from 50ltrs 2.5hp to 100ltrs 3hp now. So much better for using air tools with. Also the nail gun is the dogs danglies, i used it for my fence last year.
