Only a couple of problems, namely a slight rattle at idle speed, which I think is the drop gears and a slight fueling issue which sort of feels like a misfire but not quite most of the time, just some popping. Might check the needle valve/float and then failing that, possible condensor and points/rotor arm.
However, I have come to the conclusion that he is too expensive for me to keep running at the moment.
So as of monday, I will be cutting around in something much bigger, comfier, more frugal and reliable. But still interesting. A 1.7 td Citroen BX estate.
I will still be doing things to the mini whilst it is in storage, but not necessarily very often. Not that I wanted to stop running it, because I love it, just can't afford it
That's all,
Rob

To be pedantic here, it's actually a 1.8 if you round the number of ccs
They call it a 17 (not 1.7) because that's the first two numbers of the displacement figure, which is 1769cc ![]()
and don't count on it being more reliable just yet ![]()

fine. A 1.8 TD. happy? ![]()
haha engine wise, it *should* (touch wood) be more reliable, once the timing belt and the water pump are done this weekend ![]()
