So what is the worse mod to a mini? I'm not talking about people that have done one offs, or ripped a car apart or made it a chad Mini. I am talking about accessories etc that you can buy at the major companies.

For me, it is probably headlight peaks. I really don't like them.

By the way - this is not intended to cause offence at anyone who has any of the mods - everyones taste is different.

Spoilers like ironing boards. They look crap on any car, but even worse on a Mini.

Monster stickers... never understood why people have them, unless they are actually sponsored. My prefered energy drink is Relentless =]

Oooh, Controversial thread :D
Everyone has their own opinion and people can do what they want to their own car ;)

However.... I hate.......

Column drop brackets. . What exactly is wrong with the driving position? Yes the wheel is much flatter, but it sits you up in a more natural position I find. Yes its like a bus driver. Bus drivers sit like that all day don't they? Sit up, knees bent, wheel flatter. Issigonis got this right. Its fine, it doesn't kill rear seat space, you can see your instruments better and you don't have to swivel the rack round to match (Which some people don't, thus ruining the spline). Leave it alone. Only necessary if you have bucket seats on the floor.

Bucket seats.... Are we a rally driver? They don't recline, they kill rear seat room, They don't accommodate different sized people properly. If it aint a rally car, leave 'em out. And the stupid harnesses as-well!

Great big wheels....13inch wheels don't fit on a mini. They knacker up the handling and put strain on everything leading to greater wear. Too big, too heavy, too stupid. And you have to cut up your poor car to make them fit. Unless you have a silly engine and totally revised suspension, just leave them off.

The list goes on for me.

That will do for now I think ;)

Chrome. Not a massive fan of chrome parts on exterior. I have quite a few bits of polished stainless in my engine bay but thats for the durability more so than the look.I feel chrome is tacky and reminds me a lot of yank tanks. I do however like a bit of black chrome :)

Also don't like most body kits!

Regards Blue
