Not sure if it's of much help however here's how i've done mine:
Chopped the wings roughly...
Then went back and tidied it up on both sides
Then cut down the inner wings at the front, and bent the metal forwards
and unbolted the leftovers.
It could be done without messing up the paintwork on the a panels and below the screen, however in a moment of "I'm 18, i know what i'm doing, i'm an adult and i can make decisions for myself" i'd plugged about four pots of filler into the gaps trying to de seam it or something...so i used the grinder to get all the crap off. Probbably a good thing i diddnt try and flipfront it at the time realy...

i think it will be very hard not do damage the paint, you'll have to drill the spot welds off the wings, where they meet the inner wings, cut around the top of the wings where it meets the scuttle, and then cut the a panel away from inside the door, if you take the door off, and grind the edge away it will come away, but if its got its original a panels on it will have two spot weld on it, you'll see where when you try pull it away, i'd just drill them out and you'd have to sort the holes out after.
that what i did with mine.

cause im pretty low up fornt and have keep having problems with my group 6 wides rubbing, the dam inside lip is a pain
is it the lip on the wing thats rubbing? or the grp 6 arches?
if its the arches you need some wider ones,
the arches we sell are the same stlye, just wider

Has anybody managed to remove the front end without damaging the wing panels where the wing meets the scuttle? Im making a removable steel front end but replacing the wings (which are perfectly fine at the moment) will double the difficulty and time of this job.
