Bought a facet fuel pump and regulator to replace current electric fuel pump.

 

Going to mount it under the floor in subframe to increase space in boot and reduce noise.

Used a reject dash to try something....

 

Holes need trimming up and that, but going to have it flocked and fitted to this car...

Just did the swap myself from mechanical to electric.  Mounted it on a plate and mounted that to a exhaust bobbin, then I mounted that to the subframe.  It's nice and quiet after start up.

Ive allready got electric, but its a round pump and the brkt is broken in the boot, so its laid againist the spare wheel and bulkhead, can be noisey at times.

 

Dashboard drilled and test fitted etc, sent for flocking in black.

Dashboard back from flocking....bits turning up all over so hopefully it should start coming together over the next week.

 

Need to do some gauge wiring and stuff, want to tidy things up before dashboard goes in.

Dash project....

 

now flocked....parts going in....

 

White faces and backlit dials....

 

Re routed some of the wires, added length to the wiring for dashboard so i can connect it up easily and fix into place. Also means dash can be removed and pulled forward should there be any reason to get behind dash.

 

Dash in place....not finished.....speedo dials need trim around, need green lenses for indicators etc.

 

Testing the electrics....

 

Nice semi flat surface, similar to a modern car...

 

Speedo lit up picture.......can be either green or blue....

 

Awaiting vacuum gauge + longer screws for NS speaker and it can all be fitted properly. Need to run in the vac hose and oil pressure pipe aswell once its all somewhere near to measure up.

Had to charge battery and get it out to tweek exhaust.
