First problem (of many to come I presume) well more of a hurdle to overcome.
Have just bought and recieved this second hand ebay special boot lid carpet for my Sheldon cost me the total jaw dropping sum of £1.20!!
Basically my problem is fixing it to the boot lid, the seller had said in the listing that they had it fixed with self tapping screws because glue was no good. Now I really dont want to make holes in my Sheldon (having only just got him recently) unless I really have to. Is there any way of fitting it to the lid without making holes in it? Like any strong glue (except super glue or any glue that will damage the paint) out there that anyone could recommend me? Or perhaps another way of fixing it down? The carpet piece does already have holes around the edge where the previous owner must of used the self tappers on.
here is the carpet trial fitted to the lid

here's the previous holes on it

Is this just a case of me growing a set, sucking it up and just going for the self tappers or is there an easier way?
Once again, thanks for your time TMF'ers, sorry for the essay and I do apologise if this is a repeated topic in my defence I did look on the search just obviously not hard enough if there is already a topic on this
Kind Regards
Max
