Hi all,

I tried to post this on a thread I found via google but was getting an error message so thought i'd just start a new thread.

Feel free to correct me on any parts if i'm wrong.

I need to change the park switch. Am I right in thinking that I need to remove the wiper motor?

I have followed my Haynes Manual but i can't seem to undo the nut that connects the 'rod' to the wiper motor, when I try and undo it the 'rod' spins round. Help/tips would be appreciated. Below is a pic of the nut i'm talking about (not my wiper motor)

Thanks in advance

Not sure if it's the same, but that looks similar to the Australian later model wiper motors. You can find a good overview of how to dismantle and assemble them here: http://www.ausmini.c...pic.php?t=71385

To remove these, you need to remove the cover plate of the wiper motor, then disconnect the motor from the bulkhead, turn it over, and remove the clip that holds the shaft in place. You can then turn the motor back around, remove the gear and attached shaft, which allows you to remove the motor.

That nut can just slide out place, so it shouldn't be an issue.
