Hi all
Where's the best place or does anybody know the different gearbox ratios on a mini/metro box? I'm mostly interested in the 2nd gear ratio's and what cars they were on. Think the one i'm looking for was in a mini van!!

all the gear ratios are the same on mini and metros the only differance is the final drive ratios and these are inter-changeable and if you wana see the ratios fully guess works has a section where you can see the rpm agasint speed on graph for all gears at any final drive ratio http://www.guess-wor.../Tech/ratio.htm

Unless of course you get the Special Tuning close ratio gears.

The Metro HLE was a wide ratio gearbox with a first gear ratio of 4:1 Identified with a double identification notch on the gears

Yes, as above, the City 'E' has a similar 'box to the Metro HLE, with a different first gear.. although I could never 'feel' much of a difference in the real world ! I've got the official dealer memo on the City E gearbox somewhere.
