I'm doing a trackday in a few weeks and think i'll need a towing point. I don't have anything on the front of mine other the bottom of the subframe, which i've used in the past for winching onto a trailer but have to be careful not to damage the front end.

What have others fitted and does it need any sort of rating?

Are you using the Zcars throttle adaptor system, running two cables and the pivot arm? Also is your front end steel or composite - are you using the two fixing tabs on the front of the subframe?

I ask because I'm not and I have a fairly good system using the pivot point fixing for my tow assembly....

Below you can see the right angle bit of steel and the threaded bar that runs forward through the hole in the O/S fixing tab for a fibreglass front, then I used a heavy duty eye nut with a threaded spacer on the forward end of the threaded bar.....

I have a carbon fibre front end, so use the tabs on the frame, I also have the Z-Cars throttle linkage so that won't work, looks good though!!

Ive used a TRS towing strap fixed to the front upper tie bar mount (top left of picture) and slipped through the grill as they seem to line up nicely.
