It's even got rear seatbelts  If that was me I'd make the back into a small bed, nobody's going to sit there.
The car looks awesome, especially love the sun peak.

I was there about 3 weeks ago, could've bought it and put it in my suitcase to bring home! Dam! It'll only take me about 5 hours drive and a short ferry to get back there. Tempted!

There was a 1960 minivan for sale aswell not so long ago on there, at $2500 (£1250) in need of a resto. Super rare!

Change of plan, it's back! And much cheaper!

Jesus, this would be worth a bomb in the UK. Proper early van, with welded on sseat brackets and everything!

http://www.trademe.c...n-475800230.htm

This just proves how much it would be worth...

http://www.ebay.co.u...=item41654d15e6

Genuinely tempted to get a quote on shipping it home!

Edit: May have just got applied for a shipping quote :shifty:

Hi there. I have been and looked at the van, it is in excellent condition, just needs the floor panels welded in, a little bit of panel then paint.

I would love it myself, but am getting my wife a clubman, and we will run out of garage space.

The riley shortie is cool.

Where in nz are you? I am in masterton

All shorties are obviously 'cut n shuts'. If that were any other car, people would be horrified, yet it seems to go unchallenged in the Mini scene?

I know there are tests to be done on it etc, but I bet not every shortie has been tested.

Aside from that, I think it looks better than a regular saloon shortie but can't say Im a massive fan of shorties in general though.

Black Ghost: Minis aren't the safest thing to crash in the first place. You'd probably be safer in a shorty actually, the one I had had large brace bars in the side panels to strengthen the shell and stop any flex!

If it's got through a New Zealand warrant it would probably be safe! NZ clamp down very hard on modifications (ie your car must be approved if it's lowered etc)

CobraV8: I've done a trip right round both islands of NZ but am in Tauranga at the moment, back home to UK in 10 days though!

I want that van!

I thought you were looking at moving here?

Van is cool, but lots of work and money to finish as you know.
