Hi All, Don't know what oil you use in your classic mini, but I use Comma Sonic Enhanced engine oil. It's a minerial based but with that bit of extra high tech additive, puposely for classic car. It's a very good engine oil and I've been using it for a few years now. Anyway, the about 4 years ago I was paying £11.99 for 5ltr. I needed some more for the oil and filter change and the place I usually get it he doen't stock it anymore but can get it fot £27.99 and on that famous auction site it's £32.99 with free delivery. At these prices I started shopping around and found this web site http://www.nielsencd...il_5_Litre.html I phoned him up and he doen't stock it either but can get it (not at the special offer price) but at a case price of £64.35 and the price included delivery too which works out to be just over £16.00 per 5ltr bargain. Just thought if any of you that uses the oil might want to to know about it.

Thanks for that link. He has some cheap oil. 10/40 semi for my daily will save me some cash.

He stocks the comma motorway. Does anyone know much about that?

I wouldn't use a synthetic in my mini....The Sonic One is a natural minerial oil, the synthetic one is basiclly man made ideal for modern or high output engines. The old school mineral is is best for mini engines and the beauty about the Comma Sonic is that it has additives in to enhance old/older engines. My mini loves the stuff, runs very well.
