Planning on buying some Group 2 Wides at L2B this year, but now having second thoughts as seen Group 5 Races & they look more like a Mini arch. I don't like the lip that group 2 has.. Anyway when fitting group 5's? Do they still line up the same as group 2? Still stick out same lenght? & still have to drilling new holes etc?

& If anyone has any photos that be awesome too :)
Thanks,

much prefer them to the group 2 wide ones, i hate the lip too. I dont know if the holes line up, but these look so much tidier. also, get the finishing strip for these arches ( you can find it on the minisport website) it really makes them look good!

Nice, i like these more than Group 2 Wides.. Sorry CobraV8 >_< Nice colour thought, that was the colour i was choosing if i didnt have a limited edition Mini ;D I think im going to choose the Group 5's. Look more smarter as i wouldnt have a chrome or black rubber round the lip at edge & for an extra couple of quid more i cant complain :) Also what finishing strip do you mean? The black bit bewteen body work and arch?

No worries mate each to their own tastes. I went for the ones with a lip as they look older. For a clean look without the lip is the way to go.

yes, i think its like 8 quid, but i think it really finishes of the arches, you do notice. i held them on by using a thin bead of epoxy glue right in the centre of the finishing strip, then put them on to the arches. dont strech the strip when putting it on, push it on so its as compact as possible, when it weathers, it will contract :)

Also just another question. Can the height of the group 5's be lower? For example one some Mini's the top of the arch is just below the indicator on the wing, and group 2 wides there is a reasonable gap. Dose this depend on the height I mount the arches?

Completely. Mounting them higher gives clearance if you want to drop it on the floor, but mounting them lower down allows you to get the low look without being too low if you get me? (I know I don't :bah: )

Ok I think so.. >.< So mounting the arches lower to the edge of the arch gives less clearance to the wheels? But gives the gap bewteen the indicator and arch?
