ha ha ha funny bit now, they work but wont switch off, big hammer i think@@@@@!!!!!!
If i fiddle with the wiper stalk i can get them to turn off and they park ok
but if anyone can tell me, on mine first speed is fast and second is slow
this must be the wrong way round ????????

first of all i did not need a new motor, think about this logicically, the motor goes round and round
the brushes and the park switch determine which phase one wipe and slow and fast
3 brushes you see, taking my motor apart and looking at the brushes i noticed that from the 3
the one in the middle has a step in the carbon, and was not moving forward when removing the armature
so after pulling it out i must have moved or broken it's stop, there is still plenty of meat left on it
there are grooves in the side to keep it in line so i put the motor back together, and bingo
it works if you require any more information PM me, or add to this thread
have a nice day

Shall now put back together and hope I have the same luck as you. Otherwise as Haynes says "new motor required!".
Cheers for the guidance.

If the speeds are arse about face you may just have the spades from the motor to the park switch muddled up.

*you can run one from a brown wire off the fuse box (not via the fuse).
