You guys have restored my faith, I will give it a wash tomorrow and make her super clean, also a drive just now has helped. The braking is now in a straight line and the pinking has completely gone, yay for problem solving... now where did I put those twin carbs.

I like how my mini handles well, and i like how it has a racing history, but I don't love it for that reason. You can't love a person because he/she could run really fast or cost very little to feed.

The reason i love my mini is because it make mistakes and get sick, it's showing a human quality rather than a machine powered by German/Japanese wizardry. You grow old with the mini knowing it's little quirks and hard times you've been through together. It's just developing character.
Just knowing someday I will have the perfect road with the perfect weather and my mini will be performing at 100% is enough reason to keep it.

But if that's not what you are looking for in a car, maybe mail order brides from the above mentioned countries will be more appropriate.

Having had Minis for 25 + years now, first as my only car and now as weekend toys I'd say once it's in your blood it's there for good, I still get frustrated with them, but as soon as they are behaving themselves I'm back to my teens again, and all the modern day pressures are gone.

Just remember the good times, the waves and smiles, you won't get that in a Fiesta.

Well maybe a *chicken choker* wave

I dont think id ever get another mini for an everyday car again though. I like modern cars. Id get it a mini as a little weekend toy, and to take to shows and mini meets, etc, but not as a daily workhorse.
