You could always get a bit of fiberglass and rebuild it yourself...?

Oh yh rob, r u still interested in the steering wheel I have??

Not at the moment no, I currently have 3 so I'm not sure I can justify having another one...

Also, if you are looking to go to a mini event this summer, mitp is in august, that me and a couple of mates will be going to :-)

It is a fair old drive mind... :-P

U have 3...can i ask y?? Lol

ok cool, could u send me some details about it plz :-) :-)

Yeah, because there was the original one which came with the car, which I didn't really like, then there was the wooden looking one, then I found the one I've got on there at the moment at Bristol mini day for 2 pounds :P

As for the mini event, I'll dig out a couple of links for you :-)

EDIT:
Here are the links :-)
http://www.miniinthepark.co.uk/
That one should give you all the info needed.

This one is if you fancy being on the tmf club stand:
http://www.theminifo...15#entry2533412

There may not be any places left though :shy:

oh right I see, u should sell them then. nice find.

ok col, thankyou.

what days r u going for?

Do u really think my mini should be on a stand...? :bah:

I will look into it, depending if I have the money, not just for the tickets, but for the drive all the way there and back :goaway:

Haha one of them isn't worth enough to really sell and the other one isn't in great condition ... :P

I'll be staying over from the Saturday, otherwise I'd have to be up at the crack of dawn to get there :(

Well mine should be on it, and it's got much more obvious rust, and at the moment, no arches! So yeah I'd say it would be fine if you can get a place

I know, but it's supposed to be one of the best shows of the year, and you can see how fast your car will do a quarter mile... :D

You know you want to! ;)

Haha! You've just bought a new wheel! Why would you want another one?! :P

Ah right fair enough then :-P it'll be a mini convoy!
And it's brilliant how you said when not if you decided to get tickets :P

Well you better get in there quick! Before all the places are gone!

Haha no I haven't, but I should imagine that it's pretty awesome.... :D
That would be tiny, but not at all surprising if you did manage to beat me... :teehee:
my car is not quick... :shy:

Ignore your wallet, it doesn't know what it's on about, you've got work! :P

Also, that's a nice wheel, I was considering going for that one myself, but decided against it

turns out it wasn't a head gasket, although the symptoms pointed towards it,
It turned out that it nearly overheated because of a lack of both oil and coolant. the oil will have gradually leaked out,
and the coolant was when the water pump developed a leak .

waterpump replaced and gasket added - stopped the leak
added oil

now it doesn't overheat :D

now just to fix the clutch ;D

Thank god its wasnt a head gasket :-)

Thankyou for fixing the water pump, no that its fixed it wont over heat, woop woop :-):-)

I told u there was something wrong as i couldnt/hard to, get it into first :-) but i am glad u found the problem, have fun fixing that 2morrow :-) and i hope nothing else needs/will be worked on :-):-)

I am thinking of getting the 12v and relay on friday, so i could fix it on saturday :-):-) meaning it would be ready 2 use before MITP, which would be a great help. Really cant wait 2 go :-):-)

yeah that is good that it isn't a head gasket O_O

not a problem at all, all good experience for me and it helps sort you out :proud:

yeah I found that when trying to move it away, it wouldn't go into first, and reverse just ground, and then banged in but it seriously needs fixing >_<
why don't you get it tomorrow then come and do it at maks where I'll be there to help :shifty:
although both are really really easy! :proud:

And thank god its wasnt :-)

thats very true, it would have been good if i was there, but i had other things 2 sort out, which was a shame :-( :-(

I couldnt make it down, but atleast it has been done now, and there will always be other things 2 learn and do for my self :-) :-)
