Anyone ever fitted one of these? was it an easy fit? would you reccomend one?

Reason I'm asking is that I'm looking to fit one, bring the car into modern times, kinda fed up with things not working lol

Didn't fit one of them but did it an Acewell Quad Bike one to m Pickup which worked a treat. Just used the magnet sensor on the rear hub to work the speedo

Save you self some money and buy a bike computer, I have fitted one, measure the rolling circumfrence of your wheel, program into computer, then I mounted a rare earth magnet from maplins on my front wheel, the sender is araldited it to my brake caliper and it works very accurately and displays max speed, average speed, currant speed, time, odometer :) and it's about £20 average price :)

As long as it displays speed with accuracy of 10% and lights up at night then it's perfectly legal I belive :)

I did that one in 2009. I think I'd seen it once before somewhere, but if I remember it was a German convertible Mini. I think...

That's what I was going for. When the interior was finished you hardly noticed there was anything different until the car was started up and the speedo lit up. I used the standard gauges either side and the standard lights for ignition, oil pressure and indicators on the Mini speedo too instead of rigging up the digital internal ones.

The mix worked really well :-)

I can't remember what car I saw it in originally, but that one was mine in my Pickup I restored a couple of years ago.
