So I was curious if anyone might know where I could find disassembly instructions for a Lucas dizzy with electronic ignition? The part number is AUU1534 2001 42662A 2588, I have a feeling there the weights may be frozen up inside. My advance isn't working properly, I am only getting about 5 degrees advance. I have already checked the vacuum valve and it holds a vacuum (and I am getting strong vacuum from the carb with no leaks). Additionally, as i turn it by hand I can hear a lot of clunking like something is striking the body of the distributor ??broken spring??weight??bent shaft?? i dont know but I would like to get in there and see if it is repairable since I am in the U.S. now and Mini parts aren't quite as easy to come by over here. Attached is a picture of the dizzy.

Any idea on where I could find disassembly instructions, I just want to be careful when pulling it apart because I can't easily get another (and it is my only car right now and I have to get to work everyday).

There are some workshop manuals online, I haven't found a free one yet but it's worth a google.

Rover Metro, 100, Montego and I'm sure others - Freight Rover, Landrover?

Yeh, I spent the better part of last night on google with no luck, thats why I figured I would give the forum a shot, anyone ever pulled one of these apart? I will be fine ones I get the two halves separated. Everything in this one doesn't just easily come out the top like the non-electronic ignition ones :)
