Finally some progress!

Door hardware arrived today and I've got my doorcards from retro retrims. They're just pieces of chipboard or similar with the leatherette stapled on. Is it worth putting a plastic backing on in case of water? I've got a load of huge plastic covers at work that rocking chairs etc arrive in, I could cut some of them up? Or does it need to be something like an absorbant foam?

Thought I'd ask because if a job's worth doing etc...

When I took mine off the other day it had a thin sheet of flexible plastic behind it. Probs an idea to cut the shape up from something similar to help prevent moisture ruining your new cards :)

Hmm, I can't get flexible plastic as in stuff that flexes like rolf harris does :P I can get basic polyurethane bags so they'll have to do I suppose, I'll silicon them to the back of the cards.
