Ive just carried out an SPI to carb conversion on my Dads Cooper and I was wondering what needle I should put in the carb as a good starting point. Its a completly standard 1275 running a HIFF 38.
Got the mixture set up about right but still feels a little flat around 3-4k RPM when under load.
Many thanks.

The needle currently in the Hif33 is an ADS.
This seems to hold back around 60-70mph under load.
Any ideas what i sould pop in as a starting point?

Ill get one ordered then. it does have a K&N fitted, do you think this will make a difference or would AAA still be ok?

AAA is what comes in a stage one kit for 1275 with 1.5"...so you're good

But it is only a starting point.....so you need to check plug colours after running hard.
