Whats the max range on paper of the mpi coopers?

I did 301.1 miles from a full tank to not quite empty rekon I could have done another 20 or 30

They have a 7.5 gallon as opposed to the 5.5's? (I think)

Awesome! ive done 46 mpg in it before so I bet if I had drove better comming home from l2b an got like 45/46 mpg it would have been more

I think if you drove really well youd get 50mpg easy

Imagine that with a cooper 's be knockin 500 / 600 miles

No, MPIs have a 7.5 gallon tank, the same size that was used from some time in the 1970s onwards.

It's only 1960s and early 1970s Minis that had the smaller 5 gallon tank fitted.

Pretty much all Minis have a 7.5 gallon tank. Only earlier ones had a 5.5. :)

Even when my MPi had 40k less on the clock I don't think I ever got more than 250 from a tank, running it as low as I dare.

300 between fill ups would be nice!

Is this based on the odometer in your car or something else?
