i think stevede used them in his build on some door cappings , turned out nice if i remember

here you go page 39 on his build :

Hi fellow TMF'ers

A while since I last updated and my first (I think) update on the new forum layout

As always, many thanks for the comments.

So, what have I been up to? Well, apart from working a lot & spending far too many hours on the motorway network, I have been doing a little bit of pottering on the mini.

A few weeks ago, I bought some wooden door cappings in need of a bit of TLC from Pinhead

Wood doesn't go with my interior theme, but then I knew that. - Carbon mods to the rescue !!

Some sanding

Posted Image

And then wrapped in genuine Carbon

Posted Image

I have since coated with the resin, sanded, more resin, sanded again, followed by six coats of laquer.

First attempt so not perfect but they do look mighty fine even if I do say so myself.

Will upload more pictures when I dig them out again.

Steve
