Need to fix this as I'm meant to be going out in an hour!

1998 998cc Mini City E Automatic

Drove home and realised horn, indi's, flashing full beams etc - not working. Checked fuse box, some fuses had gone. Replaced them (although only had ones that were slightly higher than needed 20 instead of 17 etc). Fuses replaced and now horn and flashing works on left stalk, but no horn.

Hazard switch is plugged in but has never worked. Flasher relay on the bulkhead is new, as is the one under the dash (idk difference between these two flasher units).

Normally something this trivial I could solve, but stumped with this one, especially as a fuse change fixed the horn and full beam flasher. Hoping it's not shorting somewhere or melted wire or it'll be a nightmare >.<

Cheers,
Dan

not a clue on mpi fuseboxes, but on my carbed late mini, I had an inline fuse, purple/orange wire and a 15a fuse, which I replaced and I got indicators working again

but like I said, probably totally different for an mpi

Did you change the relay recently? maybe one of the connectors has come loose or put on the wrong way round, falls off all the time with mine, i just taped them up with lots of insulation tape :)

One relay does the indicators and one does the hazards I believe, it was a while ago when i wired mine up

Haven't got a new hazard switch, not cheap either :/

Fuses all fine and slightly uprated.

Earths seem fine.

Possibly a short, could be anywhere - where do the indi/hazard cables go? I know they go to a relay next to the windscreen wiper motor, that's it, any more?

Does anyone know what pins I could bridge on the hazard socket to test the circuit?

indicators were not working on my mini but hazards were i bought new hazard switch and indicators worked, think on my mini cooper 1992 that the indicator wiring goes through hazard switch think it was about £10 or so to buy one
