Hi all,
As I've posted before implanting on stripping most of my interior out this weekend.
Now I fancy a push button start, but keeping the key as well. I'm fairly confident wiring it all.

Just wondering what buttons you guys have and we're did you get them from? Pic or links would be ace

The solenoid takes quite a current so you need something beefy.

depends what year the car is...later models about 89ish had a starter relay which then sent power to the solenoid.

So even if no relay fitted, could easily retro fit one.

So push switch doesn't need loads of current going through it then

Got mine from vehicle wiring products and just wired it in so as both the key or the button worked.

The light on the switch itself ?
one last question guys, if i fit it in parallel to the original wiring does that mean that i could still use the key if i chose to ?

If you go into complete mini builds and click on winston- 1330cc turbo build there's a picture of my push start button.

I'd put a link up but I'm on my phone and it's long. :)
