hiya there i did a search but didnt come up with much is there any specialisted tools ill be needing to remove the gearbox from the block?? and is there anythink i should look out for or do whilst i have gearbox removed from the block, missing not driving her already and its not even been 24 hours :(

The only tools I can think of is a flywheel puller & an engine crane. Other than that, a torque wrench is handy when putting it all back together. I did a gearbox change in a couple of days last year.

thanks i got all of them :) and my misses is away the weekend so got the weekend to get it out im hoping saturday to have the gearbox out and at my mates so he can inspect the damage

ya the daily red one i brought from lance had some wierd problems like stealing jumping ect replaced cv joints went to drive down road stopped went to pull off again and.bang no drive and sounds like teeth are just catching grinding

You sure its the gear box and not a broken CV?? Dont forget you have inner and outer CV's to look at..........

I would say it was the inner cv myself if you have lost drive. But then it could be the gearbox.
