Quick question to anyone who has fitted new shocks....
I have read that it is adviseable to fully compress and then release the compression of each shock before installation. Is this necessary?
Want to fit my new KYB gas adjust shocks today.
Cheers

It displaces any air that may be in the wrong place. It takes 20 seconds to do, so why not?

I just picked up a set of New non-adjustable front and rear KYB Shocks.
I'm not sure if they are supposed to be like this, but they are fully compressed.
I can pull them out with a little resistance and can push them back in until they bottom out. Is that normal?
I've never worked on this type of suspension so I'm a bit confused. Most shocks cant be compressed by hand and are usually fully extended.
