Hi guys help needed - again!!
The min has been intermittantly turning over really slowly for a while now. but I found that if i backed off on the key and tried again it would generally fire up no problem.
But now it seems to do it all the time and i cant get the damn thing started!! Looked at a few other threads on here and tried a few things:
It bump starts and runs perfectly!
I Charged the battery and checked the voltage (14v sat on floor - 12v when cranking the engine)
I Connected up the battery at the front of the car with jump leads to cut out negative straps and battery cable,
Tried adjusting the timing a small amount in each direction, then a larger amount.
Took off dizzy cap and disconnected the electronic ignition and it still turned over very slow, sounding rather laboured.
Shorted out the starter solenoid just to prove that it wasn't that.
Now I'm fresh out of ideas!!!! - short of the starter motor giving up the ghost!!!
Any help greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!

it sounds like your starter motor has cone mate and sticking, if you can hit it with something or tet a long bar in and give it some taps it might free it up a bit if that works you know you need a new starter

If it has stuck, just rock it in gear normally frees up.
