If you knew what you know now about minis would you of bought your first one? I wouldn't could see the rust settling in but didn't think it would of been very hard to stop whereas now I know I wouldn't do it again

If I knew what I know now, I would've kept my car original... but not that i regret it... it would've been a lot cheaper.

Also, after owning a mini, I'm glad I didn't buy anything else (modern cars) I was considering.

Yes, oh yes. The pleasure (and sometimes heartache) has all been worthwhile with lots of very enjoyable driving and laughter over the last 51 years of involvement with the little devils. Wonderful memories from my involvement with them.

I would have haggled over the price, rather than the heart rulling head momnet. A month later paid the same again on a gearbox rebuilt (auto box ) , we've been a lot but after some serious TLC on the rest of it, hes a realblile fella even when he does go wrong hes manages to stragger home first.

The annoying thing is I had an accident that smashed my knee which seriously limits what I can do, I really hate paying labour charges on the stuff I used to be able to do myself. Having said that when you find a road that a mini is perfect for, I forget all that , I been driving for 20 years, I've yet to find a car that makes me smile the way a mini does

I'd have kept my 1964 Cooper S that I had about 35 years ago, sold it for £900. Doh!

I would have kept the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RST which I bought for £6000 in 1979 and sold for £15000 in 1997. One sold recently at auction for £180,000. Hey-ho, that's life!
