Hi

I dont know if anybody can help me... i am just about to get a 1967 morris cooper which has sat in a garage for well over 10years (so in need of a complete rebuild) but I went to see it and it has a Weber downdraught carb (not side draught).. which i never seen before.... would have this been an aftermarket conversion? Any leads would be great...

Cheers

When set up correctly webbers are no more thirsty than any carb.

It looks like its a 38/36 DCD as fitted to Mk 1 Cortina GTs. Check to see if the chokes are progressive or not.

Siggy
