I'm too poor to have a holiday any day of the year and I'm too poor to buy a passport.
Pity me!

I'm saving for a trip to the moon. Not kidding, that's one thing I want to do before I die.

me n the missus have been to Cala D'or in spain last year, cost us about £500 odd pp all inclusive in a 4 star, going the same place, same hotel this time for 2 weeks, think its costing us £838 all inclusive. some brilliant lil bars and restaurants round the corner. Best of all, nice n quiet with all the "old fogees" in our hotel haha!

I love going on holidays. I tend to get a few 'adventure training' trips away - which I class as holdiays
They are pretty cheap - spending money for beer only, but you don't get to choose who you go with.
We went to America for two and a half weeks last year - that cost about 2.5k all in I think. Been on various European holidays (read drinking holidays) - they don't really cost too much.
We have the same group of mates that go at least once a year. I'm a bit annoyed though this year - being based in Germany (they are still in the UK) I suggested we do a number of long weekend trips to various cities. And now that has turned into a 8 day holiday visiting 3 cities this year
I'll be joining them for a weekend in Paris and that's about it. The plus side means I can do a trip away to Sardinia with the missus this year. First holiday with a girl
Most holidays I tend to budget around 1.5k unless its America, where 2.5 to 3 is more realistic - but that's because I go for at least two weeks. Next year - West Coast to East coast road trip!
BUT - I have no dependents and a decent salary so it's not really too much of an issue for me. I'm also just as happy camping somewhere interesting for a week as a holiday abroad.
Bungle, money aside I do think it would be nice for just one foreign trip away. But I love travelling and drinking local beers
My family very much seem to stay in the UK. There is a whole World out there (but I haven't seen much of it), and the UK is timy.
