hiya there since i put my mini back together after the diff blow up its started a backfire through the carb on half throttle I've changed the plugs and rotor arm i.noticed this morning that my exhaust is leaking from the lcb and it quite bad could this cause it as it could the lose of back pressure cause this

hope that makes sense and sorry if im being stupid lol

that's probably the problem danny... either that or an air leak on the induction side of things

thanks and there's defo no are leak as i sprayed easy start over the inlet and carb when running and revs didn't pick up

Hmmm.. no intake leaks and backfires out the carb? In addition to checking the manifold flange area did you check all the vacuum connections to the carb and to the intake manifold (brake servo perhaps?)

Also, you must have had the engine out for the diff rebuild. Did you remove the distributor while pulling the engine and if so, did you reset the timing when you were done and the engine was back in place?

ya engine came out and dizzy wasn't removed no brake servo on mine and ya I've checked the vacuum pipes as all fine
