So I finally finished replacing my exhaust from front to back, at a cost of £250 cheaper than what Kwik Fit quoted me a few weeks ago!

The car sounds beautiful now, but the end seems to be sitting much higher than it did before and it vibrates against the bodywork when I rev the engine.

Any suggestions on what I can wedge between the two that will stop them rubbing but won't just wear away or is it a case of trying to take more of the bodywork out?

i have a centre exit rear section so it might be different, but i had to drill my subframe to mount the rear box. what you should try is moving the rubber mountings to different locations to see if the exhaust clears.

Could you post some pics of how it's mounted? You may have to bend one of the hangers down on the backbox to get it to sit properly.

Try packing the clamp out with dome thing and just bend the body work a LITTLE up away from it. I had the same and worked for me. It's really close but it's not rubbing.
