Nice Pics! What camera are you using?? I'm looking for a new one & you've taken some awesome shots with yours. Is it a DSLR?

I thank you. It is indeed a DSLR, it's a Canon 5D mkII with a 50mm 1.8 lens.

I'm a photographer/film-maker so I like my toys :P

A great starting DSLR in the Canon range (what I recommend) would be something like a Canon 1100D, a nice beginners price and still with the option of all the great lens variety. The 50mm 1.8 is a fixed prime lens with no zoom but the large aperture (1.8) allows a lot of light in, reduces the depth of field to give the background blur and eliminates (to a degree) the need for flash and gives much more natural ambient light tones.. obviously more noticeable when darkness falls.

The guy that owns that, Sam, added me on Facebook - he said he doesn't come on here as he takes a lot of rap for his car.. it's certainly different :D

Cheers Doovydoo. I had a Sony A100 with Minolta lenses but I wanted something a bit smaller & less bulky I can carry round at shows & eslewhere, but still take good shots when I need to. My sis has a Fujifilm Finepix HS30 which she says is pretty good 24-810mm zoom) so I'm looking for something similar. I love how the background on your shots are blured & the main area is crisp. Looks really cool.

Look closer & you can see the wipers are still set up for LHD so it's probably been converted...

...unless they converted them to pretend too
