Got to the point of my rebuild when a need to check all the electrical items lights, various switches etc, but how do i power it, no engine in car.
I can connect the battery,but how could i connect the live cable.
Need to know if this is possible.

I am not an electrician so others may have better suggestions but this is what I do: Earth the battery terminal and then take a single wire - about 12' is long enough - from the positive side (you can put a fuse in it if you want) and then check off each individual circuit using the shell as the negative side.
