I had some i bought from another trader but found it very easy to damage the tops of the wings when putting the bonnet back on which is why i don't use them anymore, good idea in theory or on an already rough mini.

mine work great, they shouldnt be anywhere near your wings. The original bonnet doesnt so these wont
They take some time to set up so it sits in the right place but soooo much easier to take off the bonnet and in seconds too
You do have to sacrifice a set of hinges but its all worth it

You fit the bonnet in the upright position, so its a clear inch if not more off your wings
The bonnet bolts need cutting off the hinge. The blocks bolt to the bonnet and then slide onto the hinges. It opens exactly the same without the unsightly bonnet pins and such like.
I've had mine for years and no issues. peoples faces as you rip the bonnet off is the best sight
As with everything decent, you pay for quality. Cheaper ones will be cheap

i had to drill my hinges anyway because the bolts sheered off and they are a pain in the ass to change (i didn't sheer them was like that when i got the car) so im half way there, can you open the bonnet like normal and put the stand up and then take it odd if you choose or does it have to come off all the time?

I've used them on a few minis and they worked really well. I bought mine from minimail though.
