Hey,
I'm thinking of using door bins from a different car that has speakers in the door bins, but want them to still look as original as possible. Does anyone know or have any thoughts on what car would/could be a donor?
Cheers,
Dan

Cheers for the reply, I had already thought of and looked at those, but (sorry for not saying in the original post) I'm looking to use bigger speakers than that really. Ideally I would love the kind of effect the 'Bolt-on-Bits' ones give.
Thanks again though.

I think from what other people have tried to do with them is that they don't allow for very deep speakers, so it narrows down what speakers you can fit.
Unless you make holes in the door cards and vent into the doors, which is sealed and deadened well could sound good. Also you would be able to fit any speakers (5.25" to 6.5")

could you not get some universal speaker pods of eBay and fibreglass them to a modified original door bin?

You could but then they would intrude more into the cabin plus they would get in the way when getting in/out. By using a stock one at a shallower depth and making a hole in the door car you don't get the intrusion but still can fit "normal" size speakers.
But obviously its how much work you want, either way will take a little effort.

Cheers guys! Might go with the option of just modifying the current ones then. I just thought it would be easier if I took some from an old golf mk2 or something, as they had them in I think. Thanks again.
