bruno`s engine is out as part of the huge resto...he starts ands runs pretty well, was thinking of leaving the head alone.I have a few bottles of lead addative, but maybe I should pull the head off and get hardened valve inserts put in???
or buy another head
how much are either of these?
cheers

yes, its a good idea. you save money in the long run and if you have the engine out its not a problem sending the head off for a week to have it done! :D

dont know the costs of getting unleaded seats put in but i know its cheaper than a new re conned unleaded cylinder head!!

If you're not using it as a daily driver then it may take a long time to recover the cost of getting the head converted to unleaded.

I suppose so,roughly how much do you reckon it would cost?

Its around £25 per seat. That's with the hardened seat supplied and fitted. I'm currently having mine done.
