The person who had the car before me put loads of mk1 pieces on the car for some reason (swing plate, grille etc.) And I want to change it all back or upgrade. The car is a 89 flame and I realy want a red grille without the moustaches that I dont like can anyone help me find one? Also, I know this is styling but would anyine be interested in some mk1 parts?

Cheers Joel

The later style grills had a piece of trim attached to the bonnet, the lip that these mount to will have probably been cut off to allow the use of the earlier grill. Other than that it should be an easy swap.

Like this? It would look good with red grille. How would I fit this?

This is spot welded onto the bonnet edge, if yours had a Mk1 grille, those would have been drilled out with varying levels of care to remove the lip.

I managed to use self tappers to re-mount a new lip onto my bonnet where it had been removed by previous owner. I did not even both to paint it, as it does not get seen, but if welding it, probably a good idea to re-paint whole bonnet.

Well I've got black bonnet stripes so a black one wouldnt need painting. The drilled holes ate neat so could I bolt it in somehow?
