Hi all
Am going to be swapping a 1098 a series for a a+ metro 1275
I am going to drill the head for the heater valve but on the thermostat cover it has three outlets.
One to the rad
One i presume to the heater on the metro
One i am not sure of which is only about 6mm dia
Can i just use the stat cover off the 1098 wit the one outlet to the rad?
Also noticed the metro unit does not have a bypass hose, will this cause a problem?
I am also going to put the pre-verto clutch and flywheel from the 1098 onto the metro unit.

Sorry for all the questions but a bi new to engine swaps on minis so any help much appreciated

Tony

Yes - you will need a 1275 housing to get the hose angle correct - and a ' ? ' shaped hose. Good to have no bypass - drill 2 x 1/8" holes in the stat rim - no more than that or it will 'never' warm up. In winter - for best heater effect - have NO holes in the stat rim !.
