My mini has the original 1 and 1/4 carb on it, would it make any difference putting a 1 and 1/2 or even 1 and 3/4 on it when I put the stage on kit on? Cheers

An HS4 would be ideal on a decent alloy manifold.

I was going to go for a full Maniflow stage one kit 1.75" side exit, so it'd be worth getting a 1.5" HS4 to go on there as well?

Yes - but an HIF 38 is likely to be newer - and better.

No real difference between the HS4 and the HIF38 really just that the HIF has an internal fuel chamber and is newer?

Indeed - but the horizontal internal chamber greatly reduces surge problems........

I did have a HIF38 which I was going to put on my previous mini but I sold it before I got my current mini now, shame as I only paid £10 for it
