I have alot of tapper noise from my 1:5:1 roller rockers is this normal our should they be quieter then standard ones. At the moment there set to 16 thou is this correct? Also is the clearance the same for inlet and exhaust?

i had a tappy noise when i fitted mine... they were catching on the rocker cover... had to grind a bit of my cover to give them more space.
with regards to the setting at 16 thou, i have mine set at that because of my 266 cam... maybe they are set a little too much but im sure a guru on here will help more... before i had my cam in, i had them at 12inlet 14exhaust i think...
free bump though :)

16 is a good gap, but to allow for wear and to set them spot on why not invest in one of these, I bought one ages ago and it makes he job so easy

Check two things
The rockers are not catching on the stud washers/nuts. You might have to change them to ensure they do not overlap the pedastals
The back of the rockers are not catching the rocker cover. You can usually move the cover around slightly to give enough clearance.
