Basically amongst multiple other things I changed the other day, one was cv joints. Went to drive off and no drive. Had a look tonight and whilst the pot joint is in the cv seems to be unattached to the drie shaft? How has this happened? Will it have done damage? Will I need another new cv? How was I able to put it all back together if it wasn't seated?

Help!!!! Please!!!!

If this doesn't get sorted easily the missus is basically gonna make me sell it because it's an everyday use car and we need 2!

Please! I don't want to have to buy a ford fiesta!!!!!!!

Obviously - it's not engaged in the splines. Strip it out for inspection.. Why were you changing the CV in the first place?

Hard to tell from here! But yes - the shaft must engage in the CV until the spring clip takes hold.......
